In-Flight Skincare

I am going on holiday very, very soon (2 days to be exact! Can I get a woop woop?!) and as promised in my previous post which you can read here this is my skincare which I am taking on my flight with me! Long story short I did have more pictures for this post but for some reason I am unable to rotate them so one will just have to make do! In my last post on my holiday toiletries I introduced you to my toiletries bag which came in a set of 3, this is the smallest one and houses my in-flight skincare items. First up is Nivea Daily Essentials Rich Moisturising Day Cream for Dry & Sensitive Skin 50ml. I would never normally opt for a rich moisturiser but seeing as I am going to be on a plane for 10 hours I think its wise to use something that will really keep my skin moist and prevent it from drying out. I love Nivea and all their products I have used are amazing for my skin so I have no doubt this moisturiser will be any different. Next up we have a teeny tiny bottle of Bioderma Micelle Solution 100ml (link) which is so cute! I will obviously use this to cleanse my skin before I moisturise; I will plan on doing this a couple of times in the flight just to keep my skin refreshed & soft. I decided on picking up some Simple Kind to Eyes Eye Make-up Remover Pads (link). I am not usually one to use make up wipes but instead of wasting my tiny Bioderma on my eyes aswell I figured I could just use that for my face and use these wipes specifically for my eyes! There is 30 pads in this tiny pack which I thought was quite good value for money. The next item is an obvious one... Aloe Vera Disinfectant Hand Gel (link) just because there are lots of germs on planes and being on a plane for a long amount of time I am going to want to keep my hands nice & clean & free from bacteria! Lastly, but not least, waiting in the queue to pay I spotted the Maybelline Baby Lips (link) - I picked up Pink Punch. I am yet to try as you can see it is still in its packet but after reading so many good reviews about them I am in no worries that it will be a lovely lip balm with a hint of colour for the evenings of my holiday.

I am guessing this will be my last post before I jet off to paradise Monday morning so I will be back in two weeks time! Have a lovely weekend.

I Need A New Coat...

I am still yet to go on my summer holiday (4 days to go!) and I am already dreaming about my new coat that will be purchased when I return in just over two weeks time! Surprisingly I didn't actually find many coats I want which is unusual because when I browse the shops online I end up with a wishlist longer than my arm! I guess maybe because I know I am going to be skint when I return from holiday I don't want to need too much! I am absolutely in love with the "Coatigan" on the left which is from ASOS for a reasonable £55! It is textured so it's not waterproof but look how cosy and comfortable it is! I also love the print. The parka coat on the right is also £55 and from Boohoo.com. I fell in love with the detachable leopard fur trim. I am never going to be able to afford both so I will have to make a decision when I get back from holiday. For now, I just cant choose...

What's In My Holiday Toiletries Bag?

Hello! I am back after what feels like forever but was just short of two weeks! No I haven't been away so I don't really have a valid excuse, I just recently haven't found the time to blog. I left my old job and started training for my new job as a carer so I was pretty busy with all that! However, I am jetting off on holiday on Monday so I decided to show you what is in my toiletries bag because I don't know about you but I love reading these kinds of posts!

This clear bag I picked up from Marks & Spencer and it came with 2 smaller bags so I will be using one for my make up and one for any in-flight skincare I will be needing. I think they were about £6.50 for the set of 3. They also had it in black with white spots but I much preferred the pink!

First up we have haircare! On the left we have the Aussie Colour Mate Shampoo in 500ml because I am a double shampoo-er! I decided not to buy the Colour Mate conditioner because washing my hair on holiday is the bane of my life so I opted for a leave-in conditioner which I can apply to my hair once its washed, as directed! Obviously, no one can go away without a Batiste Dry Shampoo so we don't need to mention much else about that!

Next up is sun cream! As you can see I have picked up factor 50, I am pale so if I don't wear a high factor I turn into a lobster and it has taken many a lobster occasion to get me wearing factor 50! The Nivea range (sorry I can't find a link) is my favourite especially the sensitive skin range which also has aloe vera in and is water resistant so its super soft on the skin & you don't always have to reapply coming out the pool (but I do anyways because I don't always trust it)! I decided to pick up a Soltan Once Kids Waterplay Hypoallergenic Suncare Lotion in factor 50 for my face! Like I've said before I have a very sensitive face so the last thing I want is for it to burn, but lets just be honest for a sec my face never tans/burns so im not missing much by applying this! It claims to be 3 hour water resistant and has 6 hours sun protection so hopefully I wont have to apply this too much - its only a small tube so I don't want to waste it. I picked up 2 tubes of the Soltan Aftersun Hydrating Lotion to obviously apply each evening to pro-long any tan I manage to get, I have never used the Soltan after sun before so im hoping its as good as Nivea's after sun as that is what I used last year.

Lastly is some misc bits! I picked up a teeny tiny toothpaste & mouthwash because, well, I thought they were cute and I decided on the shower gel because its called Ocean Fresh which I thought seemed quite refreshing for a holiday shower gel! All these products I picked up from my local Boots store and they were a part of the 3for2 offer.

So, there you have my toiletries for my holiday! I may or may not be showing you a What's in my Holiday Make-Up Bag? but im not too sure on that yet... maybe I will do an in-flight skincare post instead.

Thanks for reading :)

Look Beauty Haul

Look Beauty have had a half price sale on for quite a while now and I eventually had a little butchers after receiving numerous emails from them. I think I actually got a few bargains so I am going to show you what I got!

The first thing I had to get my hands on was the Mini Makeover Palette. This palette is designed for those with green eyes, I don't have green eyes but they're more hazel so im sure I can get away with it. The palette consists of 8 eye shadow shades; most of which are matte and a couple are shimmers. I love the gold shadow! There are also 4 lip colours and a rosy pink blush. I haven't swatched or tested any of the cubes yet but when I have had a play around I will be sure to put up a fill review! You can get this on the Look Beauty website here for £3

The next item I added to my basket was the Cheeky trio in Candy Floss. This is designed for those with pale skin tones (hello me!) and holds a bronzer, a blush and a highlighter. On the back it shows a little tutorial on how to apply each which I think is quite useful. Im saving this for my holiday so again it hasn't been used yet. When it has a review will be done! You can get this here for £4.

Next is the Triple Hit eye shadow pot in Party Fever. I chose these colours because purples and lilacs compliment hazel & green eyes really well. First impressions I was really pleased with the size; its about the size of my palm which I really wasn't expecting so its very good value for money. I haven't tested this out either and I am again saving it for holiday so a full review will be up when ive tried & tested. You can pick up the Triple Hit shadows here for £3.75.

The Look Beauty Fat Lips are something that I have actually had my eye on for a while. Im not really a massive lover of lip products, I much prefer a lip balm so a lip balm that leaves a pop of colour as well is my type of thing. I have looked at these a few times and decided I needed to get one! I picked up the colour Frenchie which looks like a brownish nude and its exactly the colour it transfers onto the lips as which im happy about because I hate it when the colour on the lips is nothing like the colour in the bullet! Its not too dark but it definitely does show on the lips as a dark pink gloss. it glides on really easy and is really moisturising. Fat Lips are available to buy here for £3.

Have you splashed out on any Look Beauty products? What are you thoughts?
